Local Attractions
Hampton Court Palace This tudor palace was built in 1515 by Cardinal Wolsey and presented to King Henry VIII in 1529. It is famous for its gardens and maze and houses a large collection of armour, tapestries and paintings.
Kew Gardens and Kew Palace
The Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew boast over 300 acres and more than 100,000 species and varieties of plants. Kew Palace is situated within the gardens and is open to the public in the summer.
River Thames Boat Trips
The River Thames is only a short walk away from Ditton Lodge. You can take a number of boat trips to Kingston, Richmond, Kew and even right up to Westminster in the heart of London (Thames River Boats).
Shopping and Eating Out
Kingston-upon-Thames, only a couple of miles away is an excellent centre for shopping, eating out and entertainment. All the main high street shops can be found there as well as the Bentalls Centre which houses more than 85 stores.
London is only an 18 minute train ride away from Surbiton Station making all the top attractions very easy to reach.
